The Atonement Christ and Easter Sunday

This Sunday is Easter Sunday Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love the Easter candy and the chocolate eggs in fact the year I had Tanner I couldn't get enough of the Hershey's chocolate eggs. I remember sitting in the hospital in the recovery room and when of my friend asked me if I wanted anything and I said yes bring me a bag of Hershey's chocolate eggs. They're still one of my favorite treats. I like to get them warm in my hand just enough so that the foil wrapper slides off. There's something about the egg-shape that makes the chocolate taste so much better.
When you guys were growing up I wanted to make sure that we had family traditions . Family traditions are very important especially for the holidays. Easter is my second favorite holiday next to Christmas. I love the colors of Easter, I love the new Easter outfits, and I love making a basket of Easter treats for each one of you. I always want you to feel special and that Easter is a special day. Celebrating things in life and traditions are important. They bring us together and give us a reason to participate insomething out of the ordinary everyday. They gave us a reason to gather together and spend time together as a family.
 The other reason I love Christmas and Easter is that they are holidays where we devote sometime to Christ. There are a lot of things I don't know for certain in or how they work out how they will after this life but what I do know for certain is that the teachings of Christ will always steer you in the right direction in this life and after this life. If you read the teachings of Christ an excellent road map and how to treat one another how to take care of yourself, how to succeed, how to be a better person, how to have great relationships, and how to live a meaningful and happy life. No matter who you are no matter what you believe and teachings of Christ are undeniably good.
 Easter about the atonement and the resurrection of Christ. When Christ suffered In The Garden of Gethsemane he took on all the pain suffering and sends of every single human being that has ever lived on this Earth and who will ever live on this Earth. If there is something that you would have to suffer through in this Mortal body in this life he felt that suffering he experienced it personally himself. It was so overwhelming to him that his body bled from every pore. He described it as a bitter cup bitter isn't doesn't even begin to describe the difficulty and misery that Christ took upon himself at that time. Even with the very very difficult things that I've been through in this life I know there were things that I have not been through and there are things that others have suffered that I cannot even imagine. As I get older and I go through more things in this life like when I broke my arm and the extremely terrifying reaction I had to the medication EMTs gave me I realized more and more how there are things that I can't even imagine the Christ suffered through in the Garden of Gethsemane. To have a love to be willing to suffer that kind of suffering is beyond the scope of my mortal comprehension.
 One of my most favorite things in the scriptures is in Paul has he defines Pure Love Of Christ.
Here in 1st Corinthians 13 Paul's addressing  the addressing the Corinthians and defines charity.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there betongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
This Easter Sunday they are a couple things that I would like to invite you to do. First off I would like to invite you to research more on the atonement of Christ had to find it in your heart what it means to you personally. Secondly I would like you to think about charity and the Pure Love Of Christ and what it means to you. I would also love to have all three of you sitting next to me in sacrament meeting on Easter Sunday. I love the sacred Easter hymns and singing them. I hope with all my heart that you will be there with me. I also want you to know each one of you that you are my moon and my stars you are my everything you are my purpose in this life I find it a pleasure and honor to be your mother and I love you.

Joy pleasure happiness and a meaningful life difference between all of these...

Sha, Sawyer and Tanner,
 For a while now I've had an underlying feeling essential was missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on with all the self-help, achieve your goals, you can do anything, happiness guru books that we see going around social media didn't quite set right with me. This past week I finally figured it. Funny story how I came about it. I was watching The Blacklist, one of the main characters on the show Raymond Reddington who, in one of the episodes hands one of his associates a copy of a Zig Ziglar book. Vaguely in the back of my mind I remember Zig Ziglar, one of those early self-help inspirational type guys but didn't really remember what he was about and what he said so I decided to buy a copy of one of his books on Audible to listen to as I'm falling asleep. Side note, the majority of the books I read are nonfiction so this is a typical look for me to listen to at the end of the day. I decided to start with Zig's book on setting goals, Goals by Zig Ziglar. Zig is a storyteller he likes to tell stories to help people understand the point of his message which is a wonderful way to help people understand the message he's trying to get across. In this book he goes over setting goals and what a good goal looks like and how we should evaluate our goals so that we are living a productive life and life to the fullest. In all my 46 years of life and all of those self-help gurus and business books and other advice nonfiction books that I've read has even one of those authors mentors etc defined the purpose of life the way Zig did in that book. As he very clearly pointed out everyone needs pleasure and everyone deserves happiness and joy he addresses the difference. And how do these things add up to a meaningful life? If you look at pleasure is something you do to get you a quick fix but if you're not careful can cause an addiction. What is a healthy activity that brings you pleasure without compromising your pursuit for happiness and a meeting for life? A meaningful life is not a series of flash in the pan pleasurable moments. A meaningful life is much more deep. It involves going through hard times looking for what you can learn going through those difficult situations. Meaningful life involves service helping each other fulfilling your duties taking care of yourself and others in your personal community. Meaningful life involves growing evolving and becoming a better person little by little. And of course a good sprinkling of pleasure. All those things wrapped up together will help you become fulfilled. Being in your early twenties is tough. It's a time when you are looking for direction and what you want to do and where you want to go and where you want to be. It's a great time to learn about setting goals, good quality goals that will take you true life full of meaning. All three of you are intelligent intentional and resourceful people. I'm very proud of your talents and abilities. Zig ziglar's book Goals is a great place to start. You can borrow my my audible copy. And as always remember to do good and be good.
