Joy pleasure happiness and a meaningful life difference between all of these...

Sha, Sawyer and Tanner,
For a while now I've had an underlying feeling essential was missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on with all the self-help, achieve your goals, you can do anything, happiness guru books that we see going around social media didn't quite set right with me. This past week I finally figured it. Funny story how I came about it. I was watching The Blacklist, one of the main characters on the show Raymond Reddington who, in one of the episodes hands one of his associates a copy of a Zig Ziglar book. Vaguely in the back of my mind I remember Zig Ziglar, one of those early self-help inspirational type guys but didn't really remember what he was about and what he said so I decided to buy a copy of one of his books on Audible to listen to as I'm falling asleep. Side note, the majority of the books I read are nonfiction so this is a typical look for me to listen to at the end of the day. I decided to start with Zig's book on setting goals, Goals by Zig Ziglar. Zig is a storyteller he likes to tell stories to help people understand the point of his message which is a wonderful way to help people understand the message he's trying to get across. In this book he goes over setting goals and what a good goal looks like and how we should evaluate our goals so that we are living a productive life and life to the fullest. In all my 46 years of life and all of those self-help gurus and business books and other advice nonfiction books that I've read has even one of those authors mentors etc defined the purpose of life the way Zig did in that book. As he very clearly pointed out everyone needs pleasure and everyone deserves happiness and joy he addresses the difference. And how do these things add up to a meaningful life? If you look at pleasure is something you do to get you a quick fix but if you're not careful can cause an addiction. What is a healthy activity that brings you pleasure without compromising your pursuit for happiness and a meeting for life? A meaningful life is not a series of flash in the pan pleasurable moments. A meaningful life is much more deep. It involves going through hard times looking for what you can learn going through those difficult situations. Meaningful life involves service helping each other fulfilling your duties taking care of yourself and others in your personal community. Meaningful life involves growing evolving and becoming a better person little by little. And of course a good sprinkling of pleasure. All those things wrapped up together will help you become fulfilled. Being in your early twenties is tough. It's a time when you are looking for direction and what you want to do and where you want to go and where you want to be. It's a great time to learn about setting goals, good quality goals that will take you true life full of meaning. All three of you are intelligent intentional and resourceful people. I'm very proud of your talents and abilities. Zig ziglar's book Goals is a great place to start. You can borrow my my audible copy. And as always remember to do good and be good.
 Love ️ ❤️
